Tolman, who is an active Twitter user, stated that she had "pretty amazing" results for her role in the ABC drama Emergence. The show premiered in September of 2019, however, it was canceled after a season that ended on May 21, 2020. Also, she was a guest star on the show on NBC called Good Girls.
